Lambda Eta has the unique opportunity to be surrounded by some very successful Sigma Kappa Alumnae. We hope to create bonds across generations and allow for a larger network of collegiate women and local professionals. This semester we have been able to begin our story in Washington D.C. with a multitude of support. Though we do not have a large Alumnae group yet, we aim to establish a community that is not just for 4 years, but for life.
Throughout the next few semesters, as our alumnae group grows, we will be holding events with our local DC Alumnae Chapter in order to take advantage of the beautiful city we live in the amazing opportunities we have.
We recently held a panel during chapter inviting recent Lambda Eta alumnae to return and give us any advice they had when it came to transitioning to life after college. The discussion we had allowed for current sisters to ask questions about what it's like to be a woman in the workplace.
We have also recently created a mentorship program which matches a current sister with an alumna in our local area. Our VP of Alumnae Relations hopes that this will give opportunities to those sisters currently in school looking for connections in the work fields they wish to be a part of.
